About the Journal
Journal of Labour and Tourism Law Review (JLTLR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary legal research at the intersection of labor rights and tourism development. Published by Nuraylin Publishing Company (Kazakhstan) and supported by Lembaga Contrarius Indonesia, JLTLR provides an international platform for scholars, legal practitioners, policy analysts, and industry experts to explore contemporary regulatory, social, and institutional frameworks shaping employment practices and tourism governance globally.
The journal focuses on critical legal dimensions of labor relations within tourism, hospitality, travel, and related industries. This includes—but is not limited to—migrant labor dynamics, seasonal employment laws, occupational health and safety, labor mobility, trade union rights, tourism-related workplace disputes, and international conventions affecting tourism workers.
JLTLR encourages comparative studies, case law analyses, policy reviews, and normative legal research that promote decent work standards, gender equality, sustainable employment, and equitable tourism sector reforms. It particularly welcomes contributions from and about developing and transitional economies where tourism plays a pivotal role in employment and economic development.
The journal is published three times a year (January, May, and September) and follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to maintain scholarly excellence and integrity. All articles are published with a DOI and are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
JLTLR is committed to high-impact academic discourse and aims to contribute to the realization of international labor standards and sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially in the tourism and service economy sectors.
